Community Action Team

Community Action Team (CAT)

Bath Local Schools believes strong facilities planning starts with community involvement. In fall 2024, the district formed a Community Action Team (CAT) made up of parents, residents, staff, and community stakeholders.

Working alongside district leadership and Garmann Miller, the CAT:

• Reviewed the district’s Strategic Plan

• Evaluated facility needs and challenges

• Discussed renovation vs. new construction options

• Reviewed potential site locations and funding scenarios

The CAT met regularly over the past year, carefully reviewing data and community feedback before helping shape the recommended plan.

Staff & Community Input

As part of the planning process:

• Middle school and high school staff participated in visioning sessions

• Community meetings were held to share information and gather feedback

• Cost comparisons for renovation versus new construction were presented publicly

This planning process remains ongoing, with continued opportunities for community learning and input.
